The Grassroots Arts Program Sub-grant provides financial support for Jackson County community and nonprofit organizations that offer programs and projects that enhance the arts for county residents.
Grass Roots Sub-Grants
We are currently accepting applications for our Grassroots Sub-Grants. The deadline to apply is Sept. 27th 2021. Organizations can receive funding for events/projects and publicity/advertising for artist groups/art organizations that will enhance the presence of the arts in Jackson County. Applicants can apply for $500-$1,200 and recipients must provide a cash match.
CARES for Arts grant now available
he North Carolina General Assembly designated $9.4 million federal CARES Act funds for arts councils and arts organizations to mitigate business disruptions caused by COVID-19. The North Carolina Arts Council will distribute these funds on a per-capita basis to all North Carolina counties with a population of less than one million people. In many counties, local arts councils will receive the funds and then sub-grant a portion of the county allotment to eligible recipients.
